An ever increasing number of Murray River Retrievers are being sold as Labradoodles to unsuspecting puppy buyers. Why is this happening you ask?
It's simple....................for money!
Did you know that a typical price to pay for a Murray River Retriever is between $600 and $1800? Any more than that and you are being RIPPED OFF!
Labradoodles on the other hand usually fetch a price starting at $1500 and can be anything up to $5000.
In the last 5-10 years, the small Murray River Retriever community has been infiltrated by greedy money grabbing commercial type breeders. Unfortunately, this can happen with any breed, however, our Murrays are being falsely advertised as Labradoodles.
How can this happen you ask? Arent they two distinctly different breeds?
Can you tell the difference from these images below?

Photos 5 and 8 pictured above were sold as a Labradoodles. Could you pick it? All other photos are of dogs sold as Murray River Retrievers.
When they are puppies it can be even more difficult to tell them apart.

Only the first picture above is a Labradoodle, the last picture was sold as a Labradoodle and the rest are Murray River Retrievers. As you can see it can be so easy to get the two confused and this is how greedy commercial money grabbers are getting away with it.
Stay tuned for how to find out if your brown curly dog is a Labradoodle or a Murray River Retriever.
